There’s something about planning and designing a chic ranch wedding that truly speaks to our hearts. Jill and Konrad’s special day was no different! The couple dreamed of having a shabby and ever so chic wedding surrounded by their closest family and friends. When it came to color, Jill had a hard time deciding on a color for her bridesmaid dresses, but saw a shade of Essie nail polish one day that was the perfect shade of soft green. The soft green became the backbone of J&K’s color story and we incorporated other pastels in pink and lavender to balance it out. The overall aesthetic and feel of their day really became a tangible concept when the couple selected Spruce Mountain Ranch. The ranch has 400 acres overlooking wildflower gardens, picturesque streams and, of course, Spruce Mountain. A dear friend of Jill and Konrad’s was the pastor who married them in front of a beautiful eight-foot wooden cross handmade by other close friends of theirs and adorned in fresh flowers and lush greenery. For the reception space, market lighting, draping, pastel florals, white table linens, and cross-back farm chairs created a soft compliment to the ranch’s exposed wooden interior. One of Konrad’s elementary school teachers made their wedding cake, which set on top of an antique sewing table decorated in vintage lace, fresh roses and hints of baby’s breath. To carry on one of Jill’s family traditions, the couple used the same vintage getaway car as Jill’s parents and three other past generations. As a fun detail, we displayed photos of the car from all the past couples’ weddings. Jill and Konrad’s special day is a perfect example of how family traditions and contributions from friends can truly make a wedding memorable in the best possible way. We loved helping these two tie the knot!
